DESCRIPTION:

This house responds to the challenge of building with a tight budget on a pronounced hill in the middle of the Baja California mountains. To maximize the budget, the house creates a platform to fulfill regulation mandatory parking spaces. Instead of preserving an empty concrete parking space, the platform is transformed into an accessible garden that guarantees visitors will continue to see the view of the valley. At the same time, the house develops under the garden. The ground floor touches as little area as possible to have little impact. This house aims to give something to the landscape and visitors; instead of closing the view with high fences or occupying many areas, it offers a garden and respects the mountain, trying to blend by having local plants and rocks in all its circulations.
